Its Christmas! And my 100th post XD

So December

Yep, its December and its more than halfway through already. Oh well. At any rate, I couldn't finish my NaNoWriMo Novel, so didn't win it. Firstly I didn't write anything for more than 13 days and then I couldn't write all day and somehow finish it because I had my pre cambridge exams. My precambridge exams finished on the 11th. Been more than 10 days already woah.

So the other day my parents took me to the doctor my eye specialist referrd me to and he told me to go on a diet and gave me some tests. The reports were fine, but the level of the good kinda cholesterol was a bit high, from what I've heard. And well now I'm on a diet. I gotta loose 25 kilos, my weight is really high now and according to the doctor, I now fall into the first category of obesity D: Not that I wasn't ultra fat before..I never calculated my BMI, but I think I was quite overweight. Oh well, so now I'm not eating rice for dinner and only eating it once a day. And eating less stuff and exercising 30 minutes per day. Like for breakfast I'm just having a low fat kinda pancake and vegetables or something like that. And for dinner, vegetable stews or curry and roti. I must lose weight, its really important. I'd like to be able to wear my favourite kinda clothes and eat my favourite foods (even if in moderation) and not have people worry about me being fat all the time. Plus its good for health too. So yeah.

Well let's hope I can really lose weight this time. 25Kg is a lot, but I'll try my best.

I'll write more tomorrow I think. I really gotta sleep now.

Teh chilly winds blow and its November

Yep today's the first of November and chilly wintry winds have been blowing all morning which signals the advent of winter. Or end of autumn, which ever way you pick it. I'll go for the former ha ha since I love autumn, and I don't really want it to end. At the same time I love winter too. Right, November also means its NaNoWriMo time and I have started on my novel! Huzzah. Now finish write 49000 words more =w= It's great to be writing again, really missed it. As usual I haven't been able to plan anything out or even think out a basic outline, so its going to be totally random XD I guess that's part of the fun eh? Also my pre-cambridge exams are in December so I gotta study my arse off. Gotta get em A's! Gotta catch em all.. >D

I'm here

Okay after like almost 3 friggin months, I'm dragging my lazy self to finally update my blog. There were many times during the last few months that I wanted to write of all that had and was happening, but I felt too down to actually write about any of it. But now here I am. Well ofcourse my AS level results came out early in August and it was probably the worst exam results ever. EVER. I got D's in all my subjects, except art and design, in which I got an E. Yep I bagged 4 D's and an E.

Ofcourse I never saw it coming and that was probably one of my biggest faults. I should've seen it coming. I should've realised that I didn't know enough, that I just couldn't get all A's by quickly skimming through my books and notes a month or two before the exam, when I didn't even understand most of it. And by the time I started getting the hang of it, it was too late. But well they say whatever happens is always for the best and perhaps it is. Life doesn't usually give you second chances, so when you do get one, you gotta make the best of it. So I'm retaking all of my exams and uh I'm ditching that stupid art and design. That was probably another reason for my ultra-lame grades. I mean seriously, what was I thinking, taking that subject just for the heck of it. I mean come on, who ever takes a subject just for the lulz yeah? Ofcourse after my AS exams I decided not to pursue it for A2, but even then. I should have never taken it in the first place.

All those weeks I spent trying to come up with a concept for my coursework..nothing came of it. Well I could atleast be happy if I could get the drawing I did during the 3-day exam..not the best drawing ever, but I poured in lotsa love into it and I definitely wanted to keep it with me..or atleast a photo of it would be nice too ya know. But anyway I'm winding things up too much. I was pretty depressed for a while, but then slowly I began to get a grip. It's no use being all depressed and shit, cause that's never going to help you. So I got up,dusted myself and moved on. And here I am. After almost 3 months, I'm finally here. You might remember that at the beginning of this year I made some New Year's resolutions. I couldn't fullfill all of them. I didn't get all A's and couldn't make my mum happy for that matter. I still didn't make an animated short and I don't know if I will be able to make one this year. But I do believe that next year, after my exams I will. But I want to fulfill the rest anyway.

Anyway, so I've decided to re-sit for all of my current AS/A2 level subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Computing. I decided not to do English AS. I didn't feel like forcing myself to write essays and shit..I've never liked essays. Writing stories is my way to go. And I've finally decided to work on a plot for Autumn Rain. About time I should say. I thought of the name and the atmosphere and everything like more than a year ago. Its time to polish my writing skills! I've been wanting to join NaNoWriMo ever since I learned of it last year and this year I've actually signed up XD I definitely wanna win eeet. Yuss. I'll give it my best. Though I have to plan this carefully since my precambridge exams are coming up and I have quite a lotta studying to do. We went to Cox's Bazaar in September for Eid and it was awesome. And very inspiring too. And then I got sick after we cam back on the 14th and my eyes puffed up and stuff so I couldn't study nor do anything else besides lying on the bed. And a few weeks ago my Aunt, her husband (my uncle) and my cousin Eva moved out. I've been living with my aunt and Eva for the last 10 years almost and well it feels kinda weird ..but I guess we're getting used to it. That's basically what's happened.

But one really sad thing has happened. Eva's Cousin, Bithi, who was a really awesome child and somehow really liked me even though we never met nor saw each other, passed away the day after we returned from Chittagong. May she rest in peace. I will never forget you Bithi. You'll always be in my heart.

I need to develop my storyy

I do, I really do. I think I had this rough idea for a story I wanted to write and make a cool comic out of..I still do. I think I need to develop my story. Seriously, everyone has their original characters..EVERYONE..oh well its not because of that. I've always wanted to write this story that's set in this funky steampunk-fantasy world, with robots and stuff and make a cool comic series and stuff XD But its been what, 3-4 years since I last wrote anything even remotely related to that story. And then I have this idea for this other story. I must get into the habit of writing! And drawing more. Not to mention studying stuff before I get too far behind D: Anyhoo, I didn't have internet for the last 4 days and I just got it fixed yesterday. So here's something I whipped up.
No this isn't red riding hood. Its just a random character of mine, who I obviously need to develop, but yeah in a red hoodie. That's about it now.

Iscribble :D

So yeah, I joined iscribble two days ago, and my does that place rock or what! Its really fun doodling randomly there XD I haven't even worked on my normal drawings in the last two days. But yeah, I'll finish off some of my drawings tomorrow and go to iscribble later in the night XD I'm currently trying to get enough points so that I could become a reg there, yeah. Oh well. And this is what me and two of my friends Susi and Koollan, worked on for like 30+ hours on and off XD I basically did the grass, the clouds, the tree to the left and some other details, while Susi drew the whole thing..the concept sketch and lines were basically hers. She drew the cute creature. And we all brainstormed and decided on colours and what not XD And Koollan, cleaned up and helped colour the sun, he drew that EPIC ninja-shroom :D and put the two of us in a sort of competitive mood so that we could hurry up and finish it XD It was crazy fun working on this! Seriously, I had a blast working on this with the two of them. You guys rock ^

And,today's the second time I saw a fanart of the "No, thankyou" ending theme for K-On, and it kinda piqued my curiosity. I didn't think about it too much and was thinking of watching the whole thing and well ofcourse I'd be seeing the ed then right. But well I just went and checked it out and it really is very cool. The animashunnn and the guitar and ofcourse Yoko Hikasa's voice is as cool as always..it rocks! Anyway, its a really cool ending theme. Enjoy.

ESPANAAAA!!

Spain won. WOW. WHY DIDN'T I WATCH THEM PLAY BEFORE?!?! THEY ROCK! That was one AWESOME match. Woo. Wow, I'm really happy for them. I can only imagine how happy the folks from Spain are. Ha ha. Go Spain! Vaya a la Furia Roja!

Drawings

Urgh it's so effin hot today. AARGH Anyway, here are some of my newer drawings. All photoshop CS 5, cept the last one which is CS 3, with my intuos 4. Textures from Cgtextures.


This is Pupu, my half of an art trade with my friend Kermakala and I was supposed to draw this like almost a year ago. :|


I was pretty frustrated at how I didn't seem to be able to draw what I wanted to draw, the way I wanted to draw.. and so I just opened photoshop CS 5 and started painting with this totally random colour. I think it was a light peachy colour and then I added some blue and purple randomly..I was painting with this chalky brush (not the default chalky brush, but I use that a lot though, I love it) that I created from this texture and I dunno, it was very relaxing and slowly as I painted these shapes began to take form and then well this is how it turned out. I also added this random flower pattern. Yeah. I should do more of these, though it doesn't make a lotta sense.

Miku fanart, I wanted to do a sort of quick drawing of a face and then I ended up drawing miku and painting it all the way. But I must say, even though there are a lotta problems here, it was really fun and I learned a lot from painting this. Also I recorded the process, so here it is:

Summer summer summer

So my school closed today and my offical summer vacation begins now. About time I'd say. I can't bear the kids in my class anymore, well a lot of them anyway. On a brighter note though, I've finally redesigned my blog and now hopefully it'll stay this way for a while now. It was fun, but I kinda got tired of trying to make the page scroll using different combinations of CSS codes =_= And then finally it worked. I think I might change the background for something more simpler and streamlined though. Yeah.. Let's see..let's see..

Well I do have a lot to say, but I don't feel like writing all that much now. I'll try to update my blog regularly, even if with nothing, but with doodles and stuff at the least. And wow blogger's got a cool new design feature. Naaice. And I can't believe that Argentina lost and then Uruguay and Germany lost >_> Nooo..Oh well, I'll support Spain then. But come on, Germanyy!

Aand I came across this Awesome artist today and seriously speaking, his style is awesome..AWESOME! And very fresh and clean. Very..mm flowy and neww...I don't know how to explain it, but its very cool and its one of my more favourite styles. Also he animates reaally really well..I miss flash :\ I think its about time I got it again. I want to animate and animating in photoshop, isn't what I feel like doing right now. When it comes to animations, I find animating with Flash much easier and friendlier...especially the timeline. Though I can't pan and zoom in Flash for some reason. Oh well, I suppose its because I just don't know how to do it...aside from trying to do it manually. I'm not sure if that's how the others do it though, since they all get their pan and zoom so smooth and mine looks really choppy. Oh well, I have After Effects, but I need to re-install it..plus I don't even know how to use it XD I should learn to use it anyhow. Enough rambling though.

Ai no right

Baad Pun, but today was my birthday and my parents got me a new phone. Guess which? That's right, its the Sony Ericsson Aino. Can you imagine what a big surprise that was? It was a GIGANTIC surprise..if that makes any sense. I mean my mum had been pestering me to pick a phone, but I couldn't since I couldn't choose a phone that was within the budget and available here XD Then my mum got annoyed and then she said that she was gonna buy me any phone she pleased..ofcourse I didn't mind anyway. Since I couldn't get my old phone back and I couldn't buy one of the phone I wouldn't mind buying since they weren't available here =_= So in the end, they bought me this awesome tastic phone that is pretty expensive too...like 25K Yeah. Seriously, when my dad came to me and gave me that bag..I was definitely happy that they got me a new phone and I didn't quite know what to expect, but something told me that it probably wasn't the G705 and well as soon as I got the box out I was like "Holy Shit" XDD Seriously, I was SO effin surprised..I couldn't even believe my eyes. Well so I'm now a Sony Ericsson Aino owner. Its a great phone. Great for games, internet, music, etc etc. I can't thank my parents enough and my uncle. But most importantly Allah. Thank you Allah very very much.

Aand I also got the board game battleship from mum, and a sort of 8 colour crayon pen, ben10 water bottle, pokemon cards, chocolate, flowers and a pooh scale. My dad took us out to eat lunch at this great restaurant. We had this stuff
And it was really good, although a bit expensive. But very good nonetheless. The resaturant has a little "pond" like thingy..perhaps a pond, but the water level has decreased.

And to my great surprise (yes again..it was a day full of funky surprises) there was a small branch of words n pages there. And my parents bought me a book as a gift.
And all these shots are taken by my phone camera. Its awesome :D

So yeah :D

Hullo I haven't updated in a while now huh. Sheesh. Well my exams finished around a week ago and they were okay. Well they're over they're over, I can't be bothered to worry about them, since its no use :)

Anyway, the FIFA world cup has started! Awesome, it feels great watching football matches and rooting for your favourite teams again. Makes me realise again how much I love football. I haven't had the chance to follow football matches outside of the worldcup, but from now on I'll try to keep track of club football :D Football's awesome! Also Go Argentina go! I can't believe Germany lost to Serbia today though, and France is breaking my heart ;_; Well on the bright side, Uruguay did pretty well last time and Switzerland and Chile..so far so good. I hope South Korea makes it to the top 16 though. Yeah.

Also the Coca Cola Football Anthem for Africa this time, Wavin' Flag is a really nice song. Its really inspiring :D Now wave your Flag!

Well I'm working on those requests that have piled up in a while now, yeah and as soon as they're done I'll get back to doing my own stuff. Its just these requests that have piled up in the last two years, bout time I finish them up :|

And yesterday my computer somehow lost its system registry file and windows wouldn't load!! And then I had to re-install vista all over again. There wasn't any serious data loss, only I have to re-install most of my softwares. And I couldn't find my photoshop CS 3 disk, so now I'm downloading it. But I downloaded CS 5 a while ago and because I was supposed to delete all older versions of photoshop before installing it, I didn't do it then. But after all this happened, I realised that I missed photoshop too much, drawing in SAI just wasn't the same and so I thought, what the heck, lemme install CS 5. And I did, and I'm glad I did, because its really Awesome :D I definitely miss CS 3, but I love CS 5 too. It really is cool. I was worried that Adobe had changed the brush architecture completely, but after getting it, I saw that they didn't do that and the new 3D brushes are separate and the blending brush too is separate. Which is great since I don't need to use them so I won't. Its all pretty convenient. And the zoom is definitely much better and so is the pressure sensitivity. All in all, its a great release. I must say I'm impressed.

Aand, I found my connector pens, so I've been doodling with them. Really fun, I love markers cause they're so cool :D

I'll update with some WIPs soon, yeah.

Physics paper-2 exam tomorrow..and then one more to go

Yep, tomorrow's my physics paper-2 exam and including it, I still have two more exams to go. Eh, right, I'll definitely give it my best go, I love physics and I ain't wasting my time worrying about no exam ha ha. Because worrying never helps and it sucks...you might see me saying that a lot here, but thats because it really is true and I've had some pretty nasty experience with worrying. At any rate, gotta kick those wacky kids' butts tomorrow! Hell yeah! I believe I can get full marks in tomorrow's exam (laugh if you will) since I have to, as I really want to, so I know I will :D Yeah. Anyway its like almost 2:30am and I've got an exam in the morning, so I gotta hit the sack for the night.

Rainy Day Animation :D

Well my next exams are on the 9th and 10th (the last one) and right before my chemistry paper-2 exam I got this random idea to make a sort of rainy day animation, it was a rainy day then and so after I got back home I did :D

And my chemistry paper-2 exam was okay, lets hope for the best :) No more negative thinking on my part, yeah! Also I attended Last friday's chiutensity club with T-Bear and Chanp and it was AWESOME! Seriously...well I won't be doing any until my exams are over, which is this Thursday, yeah :D Here's the image I drew for the topic "Human Vs Nature", not a topic that I would choose to draw myself, but hey that's what its for right. Practice..and motivation.



This took around half an hour, but I couldn't submit it since my internet decided to be weird just when I was going to upload :\ But hey it was fun. And well as anyone can see, the image is barely finished heh.

Aand, Marcello Vignali Awesome artist, especially the stuff he drew for Lilo and stitch and his life drawings and graphite stuff..everything..super cool. Also Peter Chan (a.k.a Chanp) Super cool artist and he drew in last Friday's Chiutensity and he even talked to me in the chat, really nice person and very down to earth...same with Marcello. These artists are awesome. I've got more to list, but I've got to go now.

3 more to go..

Whoo I haven't updated in a while now huh, oh well. My chemistry and physics practical exams are done and tomorrow's my chemistry paper 2 exam. My physics practical exam was okay, but my chemistry practical one, well to tell you the truth it was kinda weird. I mean I friggin ran outta time! Urgh, well anyway I can't be arsed to think about that. I've been watching Bobby Chiu's painting videos and podcasts these days and they're really awesome. Not just artwork-wise, but also because Bobby usually talks about stuff while he paints and his words are very inspiring and motivating. Especially for a kid like me, whose been in the depression dumps for quite a while now. Seriously worrying about stuff never helps. So I'm gonna believe that I'll do really well tomorrow and that's definitely better than worrying. Whatever, last year thanks to worrying I got a B in my maths O-level. Well not anymore! I have to and so I will get all A's in my AS level exams, because I really really want to. So tomorrow I gotta get out there and kick those wacky kids' butts...I mean I'll give it my best shot in my chemistry exam. Wish me luck all!

Physics Paper 1 and mechanics exam tomorrow :D

So yeah, my computing paper-12 exam is done. It was okay, though I can't believe I couldn't finish the last bit of the last question. It was an algorithm and I only had a few lines more to write :\ Buuut, I'm not gonna let that get to me. The exam was okay and worrying about it wont help at all. It's not like worrying about its gonna get me better grades and stuff. Oh well. Whatever. I'll give it my best shot and be fast in all my other exams.

Tomorrow is my Physics paper-1 and mechanics exam and I just finished revising physics. I really love physics and I hope that I'll be able to get an A in physics in my AS level exams with really good marks. Like full marks. Yeah, laugh at me if you wish, but I don't care. I believe I can do it so I will. Yeah! :D Gotta kick those wacky kids' butts! Yeah!

Mechanics too, I understand it much better now. I have to give it my best shot. Gotta get all A's in all my AS level exams this time, last time I got 7A's and 2B's in my O-level exams. Which was good, but this time I have to do better... Because I want to..and I believe I can, so I know I will..Yeah :) I didn't put it in my new years resolutions list for nothing you know, I will fulfill all my new years resolutions for this year, of course within this year. Yeah!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is mother's day and this is the picture I drew a week ago for my mother and good thing too...my mother bought me a really nice card and a box of chocolates o_O
In Bangla, parents often call their children "ma, ammu,or baba". The first two means mother or mum and the last one means dad or father, you get the idea. So in that sense my mum says that I'm her mother XDDD Lol. But anyway, the power went out around at 11:30 pm, so I couldn't print my picture..I was so pissed off, because everyone had something to give to their mother (my brother made a card for mum and my cousin eva bought this present and decorated the wall for her mother)and I didn't have my picture...the picture that I had made in advance so that I'd be able to give something to mum this year. Which by the way reminds me, that opposed to what I wrote a few posts ago, I actually made cards for my mum last year and I think the year before as well, simple yes, but I did make something. I just remembered today X_X Weird.

Yeah and then I felt so embarrassed when my mum came in with the packet containing the card an all..And then the power came back at around 1..yeah and then I quickly turned my computer on and went to photoshop, but oddly enough my printer wouldn't print from photoshop and then I went and printed it from the default windows image printing thingy. And then it worked and then I gave it to my mother. She said she really liked it. Its not that good really, but I'm glad that she likes it.

And hey I added a plurk widget, which if I may say, I joined last year late in June, urged by Tzu who joined around that time..but I haven't really been active there. But I just went there on a whim the other day and found is pretty neat. I customized the CSS a bit with my image, not that I know any CSS..just added the links and stuff and I think I'll tinker around with the layout later. Darn I killed the whole night doing that. Which sucks. :\

Since I have my AS level pure maths exam on the 12th. No more procrastinating :|

Art Exam done

Yeah so today I finished my art exam, took around 9 hours I believe and I think it went okay. I tried my best to detail it as much as I could and I can't be bothered to worry. Worrying never helps, nor does it make anything better. And hey I had fun drawing the whole thing and I hope the folks at CIE can like it :D

So that's one subject done, 4 more subjects to go, i.e 9 more exams left. I have get all A's because I really really want to and I believe I can and so I will get em Hyaah!
Yeah.

Next up is maths on the 12th and I gotta practice maths, I have to get an A in maths this time. So yeah,I'll be off to bed now. Wish me luck!

Half of art exam over..

Yeah, so today I sat for the first 5 hours of my art exam, which has a total duration of 15 hours, lasting for three days, with 5 hours each day. Candidates who can finish early can leave early and I finished almost half of my picture. Its the whole lineart process that took like 3 and a half hours. Like first I sketched the perspective lines, and then with my scale adjusted the basic proportions of the chair that I was going to draw... O_o The first time I actually used perspective and a scale to draw stuff out XD Interesting experience. So yeah then I sketched everything very roughly. And then added details with my mechanical pencil and kept fixing stuff....kinda reminded me of digital art yeah. And then I started rubbing bits of the sketch and doing clean lines over them...and then once that was done I had a nice and cleanly lined picture. So then I proceeded onto add the base watercolour wash. But then time ran out and so tomorrow I'll be working on finishing the base colours and then fix it all up, add details and stuff with my pencil colours. I could used pencil colours directly, but it'd take too much time, plus since I was using pencils, if I used colour pencils directly, they kinda get smudged with the pencils and the picture gets dirty >_> So I feel a layer of flat and light watercolour washes can keep the lines intact and makes it easier to detail with coloured pencils later. Plus I love watercolours and coloured pencils, so had to use em eh.

I would've inked, but that'd make the whole image look bolder...and it wouldn't have the softer look I'm going for. Darn I seriously wish I could take photos of the process or just the image itself...but its an exam dammit. I hope CIE will return our artworks :D So then I'll get to see my picture again.

Ah I gotta go now. I really want to make this picture turn out the way I want to and so for that reason I will! I don't care whether the art teacher at my school likes it or not, I want to make it so, that if my mum were to see it, she'd like it very much and if anyone else were to see it, they'd feel the atmosphere.

Warped sense of time •__• eh

Yoss! I finally finished reading through the stikcy gooey stuff that the whole organic chemistry syllabus covers and making notes..darn that took a while, but I survived! And I'm also happy that I now understand this whole thing. Phew aaand now I has to study physics, more chemistry, practice maaths and read computing. Yeah :B

Oh well, I haven't drawn in a while now, but yesterday I drew something as an advanced mother's day gift. My mum's sick and she's in the hospital again, I hope she gets well soon. The house feels empty without her even though my aunt and my grandma and everyone else is here..still.I miss her >__<

These days I feel that my sense of date and time has warped, like this Saturday was May day and my aunts birthday. I didn't realise it was May day and her birthday since I thought it had already passed and even though I knew it was the first of May I didn't really relate it to her birthday and stuff, so you get me. Its like I feel that more time has passed than it really did and sometimes I find myself lost (?) yeah...weird eh. It's probably because of my exams, my mind keeps wandering around that one thought. Well whatever, I have to get all A's this time! Hyaah! And get that awesome X-box 360, and psp or a sony e-book reader...something :3 but most importantly make mym Happy!

So the other day I was browsing Sudoru's deviantart gallery and uh I came across these drawings she did for her mother on mother's day and I realised that I haven't drawn anything for my mother for mother's day in the last two years ;_; If it weren't for her I wouldn't even exist! So I thought, shit, I gotta draw something this time...but as I mentioned earlier..for some strange reason I thought that mother's day had already passed...can you believe it and then yesterday when I happened to chance upon lulu.com and so this banner that said that mother's day is on the 9th and make something special bla bla...but that jerked me to my senses...lolwhut, mother's day is on the 9th! Shit man I gotta go make something for mum...so I paused my drawing hiatus and drew something..and it took me an hour to come up with something to draw...the drawing didn't take long to do though, but its usually like this. It takes me ages to come up with something and in the end, my idea doesn't really get portrayed the way I want to and I end up feeling depressed and bitter. Whooo, but well I hope to change that after my exams are over. But now, my main concern is my AS level exams. So yeah, I don't even feel like drawing anything, I won't be drawing anything until my exams are over. It's better that way, I can fully concentrate on my studies and keep my mind clear from those silly bouts of depression caused by my inability to draw properly or express stuff the way I want to and etc etc.

I'm actually an optimistic person, but a lot of stuff has happened in the last couple of years and well I find myself surrounded by these negative thoughts...well I'm fighting them, so to anyone who reads this, don't let them get to you! Ignore them, think positive, and no matter what happens don't worry, because worrying never helps, it only makes things worse. And always be confident, just confident mind, never over confident and never under confident and believe in yourself and trust your true instincts. :3

I'm not posting the mother's day pic yet, I'll post it on mother's day! I've realised that I'm more productive in photoshop than in SAI, usually I end up drawing nothing in SAI and then I go to photoshop. SAI is really nice, but I love Photoshop the best anyway, I just do and then comes my darlin painter + opencanvas and then SAIaiai XD. Oh well more on that later. For now, I has to go, take a shower and eat some lunch over K-ON episode 4! Yeah, I'm slow, but I don't care! I also started watching DURARARA!! and its awesome ..enough said.

So...

Uh yeah, damn I've been soo lazy that I haven't updated in like a month...darn...sorry blog-dude, won't happen again...eh, I just keep telling that, but still! Any way, my art coursework was finished a couple of weeks ago and I got sick after that. My teacher didn't seem to be liking it, she said she was expected something better. Yeah. But my mum liked it, that's what matters. I hope that the folks at CIE can like it. And then I was sick with a fever and bouts of this nasty headache and just weak all over. I'm much better now, though am still kinda weak. Kinda.

Woo, time sure flies, my AS level exams begin from the 12th of May...oh well we have the controlled test for Art and Design earlier from the 6th to the 8th. Three days, 5 hours each. 15 hours. But I hope I can finish my work earlier so that I can study for my other subjects.

In the Rain

Something I drew yesterday. Took me a while, this did. Actually it was meant to be a speedy, I wanted to improve my speed I guess..yeah

But still it was nice working on this...though I lost my patience and my mind kept wandering and stuff..I wanted to ditch this and draw something simple and fun..XD

I think I'm kinda getting better at painting like this. I tried out some of the watercolour paper I bought and its got quite a lot of texture, since I want to use water colours as the main media for my art coursework, I'm trying to get better at it.

I went to chemistry coaching today, after like 2-3 weeks..ah how awesome it was without coaching...though I can't say that I enjoyed those weeks since I had exams and my computing coursework to be finishing. =_=

Still I miss studying and I hope I can finish my art coursework soon and get back to studying, doodling and snoozing like I usually do. Oh lol, I could actually draw a dog here! Yuss, here's the little pup:

My friend says that he looks happy..maybe, my intention was to make the puppy look a little down XD Oh well, as long as he looks like a dog..works :D

Eldest

My mock 2 exams are hopefully finally over. I've been feeling pretty much wacky all day today..due to a particularly nasty bout of indigestion....bleargh

Anyway so I finished reading Eldest today and I must say I'm really impressed..when I first started reading it, I didn't know what to think, but as the plot progressed I realised that Paolini has really improved as an author. I love Eragon, but I think Eldest has a lot more intensity?...yeah. Kudos Master Paolini!

I should do some fanart..but well. Also I finally finished the creature in the case which I've been wanting to finish, but didn't get around to reading more that the first few pages. I want to read more books related to Lirael, Sabriel, Touchstone...the lot of them from the Old Kingdom Trilogy. Its just soo cool, and damn is Garth Nix an awesome writer or what. I should make proper drawings of my favourite characters and stuff now that I've got my tablet. Hmm...

Done with my coursework

XD wow, I exactly wrote an entry one month ago...shit. I should update my blog regularly. Well I finally finished my computing coursework and submitted it today..and yeah it was a big pain in the arse (like last year =_=|||)...but phew I finished it! And well my mock 2 exams are going on and well today was chemistry...it was okay. Not worrying about them. Most the major ones are over ...with the lab tests for physics and chemistry remaining..and computing and maybe art. Not sure.

But well I got my art question paper for may/june 2010 the other day and now I should pick my topic and practice. Interesting. I went to New Market this Thursday with mum and Tzu to buy some art supplies. It was sooo hot...by the time we made it back to school, we were sweaty and tired from the heat. But it was worth going there! I got all these cool art supplies..real watercolour paper,a sketchbook,a watercolour pad,a set of acrylics,a set of artist's watercolours, three types of charcoal and some neat brushes. Oh I also got a 12X16" canvas...just to try it out, since I've never painted/drawn on canvas before.

So much has happened...and yet not much really
Hmm, I'l post my new drawings soon.

I also bought Eldest..woohooo and now am reading it...in between power cuts. Seriously they are getting to me.

First Paint chat session

Ha ha, yeah so I was looking at the paint chat doodles by Yanyu and well thought that I give Niko's a try. So I went and registered there and it was done pretty quickly...unlike what I had thought..since I thought that it takes them a day to process the request and all. Wooh. Ah well and then I logged in and entered a normal drawing room. Well yeah and the java applet loaded pretty fast and well before I knew it I had found myself a little empty space and I was drawing this. I kinda like how this turned out. I think I might make her a character and even draw a character sheet for her. I've never done one of those.

There were these people there...after drawing for a bit I said hi to them and two of them replied back to me. Well I tried taking part in the conversation that was going on but no one seemed to be paying me any attention so I finished my drawing, said bye and left. Yeah.

Today is Tzu and my aunt's birthday. Happy birthday you guys! I love youu <3

Prelude to a week of half arsing my coursework :D

Oh here's a random drawing. Tried half toning here. Done in photoshop with my intuos 4.

Hmmph, my art exam's finished and well now I gotta start working on my computing and later my art and design coursework.. My art exam..well first art exam in like 7 years. Yeah, that long. I don't practice art much so I cooked up a random drawing of a living room since that was one of the questions...but the paper was soo thin that the watercolours made it go all flappy D: and an hour and a half isn't really enough. Today though I drew this girl staring at her reflection in a rain puddle (referenced and inspired from yotsubato! chap 7 cover) and well I'm kinda happy with how it turned out. And it was fun doing that too.. Well I was practicing the pose from that cover last night and well today when I saw the question..(we could draw whatever we wanted) I thought I'd just draw that. Lucky I practiced.

Tzu got her tablet today, its a small wacom intuos 4 and it looks kinda cute :3. And here're some photos of my one.

So now I should start working on my computing coursework. Planning, programming, evaluation, testing. Yep. All that. Documentaion. In like what three days? Darn. Mum says that she won't allow me to work on it after the month's over! And I have a chemistry test the day after tomorrow...and its on organic chemistry and I have to study for that.

Ah I've started reading Azumanga Daioh and I'm re-reading the thief lord. Fantastic book that. And my oh my is Azuma Kiyohiko awesome or what! His style is fantastic! And all his characters are soo epic. Heh, awesome artist mmhmm.

Lavender clouds

Yep, lavender clouds. Watched a few episodes of the Anne of Green Gables anime yesterday and well I soon found myself drawing this. Really love the backgrounds in the anime. And I've really enjoyed painting this so far..kinda.. Heh, this isn't finished though, its just a wip. I wanted to enter this for the expose 8 call for entries, but whatever. Looking at all those OMFGSHITAWESOMESOREALISTICAWESOMESHIZ artworks, I figured I didn't have all that patience to go and make this all detailed and cool and stuff like that. Not that I could anyway. Not at the mo. But then thats not necessarily my aim, I'd like to draw stuffs which look more like a painting than a photo. Something I dunno, not like ultra highly detailed photorealistic/ almost photorealistic stuff...I'd like to draw stuff that'd have their own emotions and stuffs behind them and at the same time would be more stylised and like a painting and yet have a sort of unreal look, be it slightly cartoonish or semi realistic. Dunno if I'm being able to explain it that well, ah well.

So this painting was a bit of an experiment with some brushes in Photoshop CS 3. And the following pic is a sort of quick concept that I came up with randomly while trying to brainstorm the other night for a good concept to work on for entering it into the expose 8 call for entries. I know it wouldn't be selected and stuff, but hey its just for the sake of participating so yeah.

I didn't have internet since Friday and so on Saturday night I found myself watching the tv. And I got to watch two episodes of Inu Yasha the final act, and wow, was it epic or what! So I started reading the manga from today..Rumiko Takahashi has a lovely style and they've animated it soo well. I've always wanted to watch it, but never got around to watching it. And these were like the only episodes I've ever watched and the opening theme is soooo good. Love it.

Hallelujah..

New drawing, mmhmm. I'm trying to shade using different tones, meh..its pretty relaxing to just start with a random colour for the shadows, and colour-pick your way to oblivion...with good music playing, yeah.

Only one more exam left now, and that's on Saturday. computing, age. Ah, Jeff Buckley's Hallelujah is such a soothing and lovely song. F was browsing DA today, and something made me realize that now I'm in my A-levels I should actually start looking for universities ..... especially in the UK. Since I've been reading about people preparing their portfolios for art school and such. since I'm not going to go for studying art at a higher level, I should look for good universities, prepare myself and I dunno funding and results and stuff according to the requirements of the course I'm going to go for.

So I started doing some research today and learned that to apply to Warwick University, in the physics department, I need to get an A in maths and physics...must and another A in any other subject. Well, this just means that I have to practice physics and maths hard to make double sure that I get those A's...and my other subjects too..

Ah yeah. I just watched the movie on Sunday and gyaah I loved it.. LOVED it! It was just soo cool. Awesome animation, music, style...voice acting...everything! So a little fanart. I sketched it in my GRAFA sketchbook and well then scanned, cleaned the lines and coloured it up in photoshop with my tablet and well finished it last night with my mouse..since I was too lazy to bring it out of the cover..and um....also kinda scared that I'd be spotted working with my tablet since I aint allowed to use my tablet when its supposedly study time XDD...not even for navigating. So yeah.

New Year's resolutions...and Happy Chinese New year ..and WI

Heavens I haven't updated my blog in like almost two weeks D:
Sucks. Well I've finally decided to set some goals for myself to fulfill this year! \ But a few days ago I came across dominiquefung's journal : [link] . I never really posted my goals or even said them aloud much since I was kinda scared that I wouldn't be able to fulfill them.. And to tell you the truth after reading her journal I really made up my mind and thought what the heck! I shouldn't be sacred..aint a chicken. If I can't fulfill them at the mo then that only means that I should work harder to fulfill them!

So here they are:
1) Get ALL A's in my AS level exams. Get better at my studies and make my mum happy.
2) Learn to draw robots, awesome mechanical steam punk sci-fic fantasy stuff,
landscapes, clouds, characters in different poses. Cool stuff basically XD. 3D stuff
too.
3) Make an animated short film.
4) Learn to write better. Aka, polish my writing skills. Write short stories regularly,
like one a week. Yeah, that oughtta kick my lazy clockwork self into activity.
5) Learn Japanese properly.
6) Enter a drawing into the EXPOSÉ 8 call for entries. Just for the sake of entering
and drawing something good in the process.
7) Kick some wacky kids' butts.
8) Start learning programming.
9) Play more cool games :lol: .
10) Be a strongwilled brave and cool kid! And a better person in general XDDD

And wow I loove my tablet soo much. My mocks are going on, but I try to draw whenever I get back from school. Tomorrow's the chemistry practical exam. The other exams were well....I dunno. I had hope that my mock 1 exams would be awesome. They aren't exactly that. Hmmph, hell the important fact is that I'm getting better at my studies. And I'll revise and stuff after the mock 1 exams are over. After tomorrow I've only got computing left and yeah, which is on the 20th..so I got a bit of a break in between.

Sho, I play the witcher! Hells yeah!

I started painting this right after I got back from school this sunday ( aka valentines day, happy * day all). These days after I get back from school, I open my shoes and run for my computer....I painted it nonstop for 1 and a half hours and then I stopped...haven't touched it since. Its still a wip though, not at all complete. Hopefully I'll complete it on the morrow...here are some of the steps:


Rough sketch with the hard round brush. Pretty random really...came from the want to get better at doing landscapes and from this pencil colour drawing I did...will post it when I find it. It was my first landscape drawing in years as is this..


Randomly painting the colours on a multiply layer above the lines. Trying out different shades.


Adding shades and more colours on a normal layer above the multiply layer with this customized brush of mine and later the airbrush opacity flow brush.


And another new layer..working on the clouds..adjusting the castles and basically clarifying and cleaning the details. yep. Click the images to full view. The tiny thumbs that my blog layout turns these pics into, doesn't do all them details justice >.<

Windy Day

Yeah..did this in the oekaki at 4chan today. First oekaki with my tablet and third oekaki ever XD.

I really liked how it turned out. It really took around 30 minutes to draw this...as opposed to the 58 minutes online...I mean I wasn't supposed to draw then and if mum saw me drawing then I guess I'd be in be big trouble... *shot*

My AS level registration is complete. Finally.

And today...

I got my Tablet! Just this evening!
Ahhh...its fantastic, I can draw with it, navigate with it and even write with it! Fantastic! Sooooo coool..and I ordered the medium sized one...still kinda wondering whether it'd be large enough or not...man...was I ever wrong! Its soo large and definitely more than enough..thank God that I didn't actually order the the large one! But hey the're all cool. I loove youu tablet honey ~

Zubuyer dude brought it over to my place this very evening! Just when the power was out too...great..and then we had to open the box with the light from the candle! And Zubuyer actually came over to my house! Woah, that was cool. Too bad he couldn't stay for long. And just after he left the power came back. Sheesh. Bleach equals awesomeness!

Heck yeah. Bleach is really cool, the manga is just fantabulous. Tite Kubo's drawing style just rocks and so now he's among my top favourite comic artist's along with Hiromu Arakawa, Jim Lee, Masashi Kishimoto, Echiida Oshi, Tomoko Ninomiya among others. I've been hearing about bleach and ya know been seeing all those fanarts on dA and well never really thought about it much until recently when I got animax back and discovered that they were showing Bleach there. I was merely curious..and then one day I happened to see an episode and that sold me. Next thing I knew..I was staring at the first page of the Bleach manga on my LCD screen. And darn is it awesome or what. I should be making some fanart soon, but drat aint getting around to doing it.

On a brighter note, Zubuyer dude from GRAFA is helping me get a tablet! Woohoo, he ordered my intuos 4 medium. It should be arriving within a week or so. Kudos to you Zubuyer and your awesome hardware guy ^ ^ I'm pretty excited but I have to be patient. If I could wait for a tablet these many years, then I can definitely wait for a few days more. Tablet, have a safe trip!

And I got java back so I did this oekaki here :


I discovered a couple of days back that my oekaki central account had somehow vanished. So I did this on the oekaki board at 4chan.org. I tried to use paint chat but somehow none of the brush stroke appears so couldn't do that.

And here's a drawing I just did a couple of minutes back in painter X. I just opened up painter and just started drawing with the felt tip pen and the strokes were coming out smooth and so I went and drew this. :D



I like how she turned out. I kinda sharpened it a bit in Photshop CS 3.

Argh, I need to study. Have been procrastinating. Time to get serious and kick some serious wacky kid butts!! Oh and my pre cambridge results aren't out yet. Well I have to do well, so let's hope for the best! I have to pass all my subjects well enough to be allowed to sit for all my AS level exams this may/june 2010, so yeah.

Happy New year and my GLA animation is finally finished

Yeah sorry for the lateness, but Happy New Year 2010!! Also after the weeks worth of half arsing my project to the finishing line, its finally over...phew, that was some thing. Anyway, I'm done with it and it's not the best animation out there and I know that I could've done better, but what the heck. It is what it is and I'm not going back to it..so yeah

So I'll ne studying for my AS level exams and I'll try to draw whatever I can in between bouts of studying and stuff. And here's something random I drew:



I wanted to do a quick doodle to test how masking worked and well this happened, still don't get this masking thing much, but now I do understand how the quick mask mode works..nice...Oh I did this in Photoshop CS 3 and I use a mouse. Its ironic how before I didn't have the money to buy a tablet but opportunities to get one used flutter in now and then and now that my mum has the money to get me one, I can't seem to be finding any way to get my hands on a nice shiny wacom intuos 4...wacom tablets aren't available here D:, sucks doesn't it?..well whatever, I can wait

Okay then thats about it for now, wish me luck, pre cambridge results are probably going to be published tomorrow..yeah, have to get good grades. Oh and school's opening tomorrow too. Yeah.
