Lazy Summer Day Wip

Yo blog, sup. Been a while since I updated XD
But um it's so cold ...which makes me lazeh and I've been busy with work so haven't gotten around to updating much. So today I started drawing something and here be some wips:

Hmm it's not done yet...gotta shade it up and finish painting it an all XD But it's being lotsa fun painting this. I've been wanting to paint a picture like this forever heh. So I'm glad I'm finally getting around to painting it. And boy is it cold these days...sheesh. Makin me miss the summer quite a bit. I feel like doing what this kid here's doin...lying under the shade of a tree and listening to music and doodling and writing stories and stuff....aaah summer where are thou... Tho I do like winter fo sho XD It's just that my hands get so cold during winter that it becomes tough for me to work on stuff. Anyways that aside recently got Photoshop CS6 and it's pretty frickin cool. It's a significant update particularly because of the autosave and recovery feature which I've been badly needing for a long time. This is being painted in Photoshop CS6 and it works pretty smooth without any lag even at hi res. Love it! And the new pencil brushes are uber kewl too....haven't checked out all the new features yet...but Iris blur is really neat.

Aaanyway I better go sleep now...it's frickin 7am in the mornin fer cryin out loud. Yikes!

Noodley bowl! Almost done XD

Yeah after Maya crashed the other day, I had to remodel some of the toppings again. Which was a major pain in the butts... But who cares, almost done! Well the modeling is fully done. But it's the render...needs some more work. Just need to tweak some stuff and re-render it. Plus this here's a test render to test out the different render passes....I'll try to finish it up fully tonight or something. I mean I'm still not sure about this background...so yeah. Hmm it may not be the best picture ever, but it's like my 3rd proper model or something..and render...so uh I'm kinda fond of this XD

But yeah, this be done in Maya, rendered in Mental Ray and adjustments in Photoshop CS5.

Noodley bowl WIP

Yesh so I've been wanting to make this bowl of noodles in Maya for a while now..so today I didn't have much to do so I started makin it...here's the progress so far:

Um ye looks kinda wacky now, but I hope it'll look a lot better when finished..Dayum those noodles strands took a while to position..need to find a more efficient way to do it. But it's being fun..so I hope I finish it off today XDD

Now to make the toppings....

Hmm so today I was doodling with my pens..and uh found myself painting it too? So uh yeah. Funny thing is turns out them triplus fineliners work pretty okay with water...don't really spill out much. So I guess I wanted to subconciously paint sth heh. This ladeh here is this random character I've been doodling today...for no apparent reason. And then I suddenly felt like drawing a larger picture..so that's where this came from.

Er..yeah my awesomely messy desk XD Though it's been cleaned up recenlty...heh stays wayyyyy messier than this normally lol.

Um well it's like 6 in the morning and I better go sleep before I get busted *runs*
