Yosh! I ish back and new blog shtyle ho ho!

Yesh I ish back..after not updating my blog for ages. I tell ya I'll be active from now on..seriously! Well actually I'd have updated earlier but I wanted to make a new fresh blog design..since cobwebs had sprung up all over my blog..yeah my fault I know. But hey now it's lime-green-bubble tea-pokemon and LOZ-tastic sparkly and clean! New layout and style! And hey I added a webclap button too..yeah been wanting to for ages.

But anyway, so my AS level exams finished on the 24th of November and then my internet was acting up for a bit and then I was trying to clean my dA inbox..and well I still have 180+ replies to reply to..but finally I got ya cleaned up and stuff bloggie. And I shall make a post or two about my Singapore trip. Belated I know, but still, better than nothing. So after my exams finished I've been doodling on and off and also working on some full cgs as well. Here's a wip of a picture of Touko and Emonga I'm working on:



There're more wips. But I'm feeling a bit lazy to upload em now XD However, I ish working on a K-On picture as well as this other picture of this girl with a lantern. Okay here's this picture of an elf I drew today:

Just some cg practice. Usually whenever I draw something and start painting it I have this URGE to over refine it...and it drives me crazy. So I'm trying to paint in a more softer, loose and subtle style. Quite inspired by Shirotsuki's soft painting style which is one of my most favourite cg styles. And Shirotsuki herself is one of my most favourite artists..so yeah. What I really love about her style, is how effectively she can paint atmosphere. Seriously all of her artworks have such a lotta nice atmosphere..that's another reason that she's a favourite artist of mine. I really love pictures with nice atmospheres. Usually however I'm too lazy and tend to avoid stuff that I'm not so good at drawing so far..but I am trying to cut outta that since last year I decided to draw whatever I actually want to draw, no matter how crappy they turn out..I mean if I don't try how will I ever learn. Need to draw more awesome stuff..this winter season makes me lazy..but then summer does too..heck when am I NOT lazy? Gotta get stuff done. Yoshh!

Well anyway as for the picture above I was able to finish it within an hour or so..and I drew an elf..which is an accomplishment for a lazy bum like me. I'm glad I could keep it as a speedpaint..and not one that went too far XD

Oh man

SHIYAT! I haven't updated my blog in ages DX Oh well.
I got back from Singapore on the 4th of August and then my results came out on the 11th and it SUCKED. So I gotta re-take my AS exams in October/November and my A2 exams in next May/June. Guess I got behind by a year..but no worries! I SHALL USE IT TO GET BETTER AT ME OTHER SKILLS YOSH! Well I gotta run now.

Exam's DONE! Wheeeeee

Yeah as the title says my exams finished today wheeeeeee XD Ah yeah and I'll be leaving for Singapore on the 11th..it still hasn't sunk in but oh well. Got my tablet out and installed the driver. Feels awesome drawing with my tablet again XD So yeah. Well I'll be off now.

Okay 2 more exams to go

Yep, that's right. Today I gave my statistics 1 exam and it was okay. I had an upset stomach today and wasn't feeling particularly good but now I'm better. So two more exams left now. One on the 2nd of June and another on the 8th. I gotta do REALLY well in the last 2 exams. I have the time so I must practice them mcqs properly and use my time wisely and not waste it. Aside from that, here's the picture whose drawing process video link I posted the other day:



I'm kinda fond of this picture. There are problems and stuff, but I guess I likey. Did this with my mouse. These days drawing with a mouse on Tegaki seems smoother than before. I wonder if it's just my new mouse or Firefox 4 XD Dunno but I somehow don't get those jagged strokes these days. I guess it's firefox 4's improved flash support? Hopefully my tablet should work well with flash drawing applications from now on. Because before it was kinda weird drawing on tegaki with my tablet..it seemed to get stuck and even curved lines would turn out kinda straight line-ish. Here's the video I linked the other day:



And I've been watching Kamichu! and Sket Dance these days.. got a new internet connection, it's a lot easier to watch stuff online since it's quite fast. Finaryy. But anyway, Kamichu is nice and cool and kinda nostalgic even. School days with your friends, sharing tiffin and talking about all kindsa stuff..doodling in class..daydreaming about holidays..thinking of what to do after going home...homework..class tests..ahh..yeah nostalgic indeed. Miss these quite a bit. My last two years in school did not include these D< IT was all empty classes, empty lessons..not like school at all. I hope university is more like school. And I hope this time I can do really well in my exams and can enroll in a really good university. NUS would be cool. Yeah. Speaking of which, there's this Science Summer Camp at NUS (Singapore) this summer. And I managed to register for it. Apparently we (there'll be other students from the school going too) fly there on the 12th and it's a 5-day event I believe. It'll be cool to go to a science summer camp. I've never been to a summer camp, let alone a science one at that XD And I've never been abroad so yeah. I'm really looking forward to meeting my aunt and uncle and my two cousins there. I miss them. It'd be cool if I could get my laptop and some nice art supplies and stationary stuff. There are some that I've been eye-ing on the internet at dickblicks and other places for a while. I dunno if I could buy them all though. But at the least I should like to get something for everyone here and some masking fluid XDD

Oh well, I've ranted quite a bit now. I gotta go finish watching that episode of Kamichu! and then go to sleep. By the way Sket-Dance is EPIC. Enough said :D

4 more exams to go!

So I haven't been able to update my blog with exam updates as much as I usually do. Well I've been pretty sick since last week and so haven't gotten around to updating much. Before that I was plain lazy. Blogger blogs with .blogspot in their links were not loading and still don't for some odd reason. So that's another reason I suppose since I like looking at my blog heh. Anyway I'm a lot better now thankfully. Just quite weak and get headaches quite a bit. So I've been sleeping earlier and waking up earlier too and resting and sleeping alternatively throughout the day. My exams have been okay so far. I guess I could've done better if I weren't sick. But 's okay. I have 4 more exams left and then exams be done woo. I managed to render and upload the process video of this random picture I drew in tegaki the thursday before this last thursday. Exam time!

So yeah. Tomorrow my A-level exams begin. That time of the year again. Last time I screwed up and got D's. Not this time. No sirry. This I'll stay calm and give it my best shot in my exams and get all A's and make me mum, dad and family happy. Especially me mum. It was horrible last year when I did so bad in my AS exams. I do not want that to happen again. I gotta keep moving forward and make it work out this time. And I'm going to think positive and believe in myself. I do want to get all A's in my A-level exams and so I'll do my best. Tomorrow's my maths paper one exam. I think if I stay focused and not make any silly mistakes, I can manage to get that A. Okay then. Wish me luck everyone.

Woah April's here XD

Yeah, April's here indeed and I haven't been here in quite a long while indeed. I keep saying I'll update my blog more often..but lookit this, I haven't updated in ages. Eh. Oh well, actually I've been wanting to for quite a while now..but been too lazy to do it. STILL I ish here. At any rate, it's April and I'm done with my coursework and mock exams and all that stuff. So now it's time to study my arse off and revise for my A-level exams..which begins sometime in May..MAYY. Wow just a month away. Wheee, time to really get busy. This time I gotta get all As in all my AS and A2 level exams, so that I can get ALL A stars overall in my A-levels. Huppp! I can do eeeet! Well I've been kinda sick with a bad cold these two days, but I'm a lot better not and I gotta really get studying properly from tomorrow.

For now, I just made a new background XD Here it be, click the image for wallpaper size and all.
I wanted to make a new background all of a sudden a while ago and was trying to make something nice come out of that..when a tree was takin shape..so I decided to paint em trees nice and proper..not that this is that proper or anything..but still. And I wanted to draw a kid with an umbrella..so I recycled an old sketch from last year..hah. Oh well. I'm rather pleased with this picture as my background for a change. It's been raining here quite a bit, so it suits the current atmosphere better. At any rate, I love rain so yeah. Them textures be from cgtextures

Hmm..Happy New Year!

Yeah, Happy New Year. It's still January, so I'm not that that late am I? At any rate it's a new year and new beginnings. Last year was well kinda weird for me, though there were good things too. But mostly it was kinda wacky. My results sucked all year round and I couldn't really accomplish anything. Didn't make that animated short, and most of the summer I was trying to finish up all the art I owed people, requests and such from one-two years back, so I didn't really get around to actually work on all the stuff I'd have liked to, such as cool backgrounds, poses, perspective, robots, dragons and creatures and such. The list goes on.

But despite all that, the summer of 2010 was one of the best. It was really a lot of fun. I joined iscribble and doodling there all day with my friends was some of the best times I'd had all year. I also loved drawing late into the night in the darkness, with the glow from my monitor the only lightsource and awesome music playing in the background. Yeah. And then we all went to Cox's Bazar. That was really cool. But the biggest highlight at the end of the year was when my aunt and cousins came here from sg for two months. It was AWESOME and I really miss them. Alif had a DS and pokemon platinum and we recorded him catching Dialga and Palkia. *A* I'm playing platiunum now, and I recently got my hands on pokemon leaf green. Looks awesome, but I can't play just yet. I've got my mock 1 exams coming up real soon, so I gotta study for that. Which brings me back to my point. So last year I didn't really accomplish anything. And so this year I'm going to try my best and kick em wacky kids' butts and uh actually fulfill my new years resolutions! Which includes Not procrastinating, for one thing and most of the stuff from last year with some more additions. I hate procrastination, but arghh it seems to be tough shaking it off. But shake it off, I WILL!

Aand I registered for all my A-level exams and my mock-1 exams are from the 6th of Feburuary. I really really want to get all A's in my mock-1 exams and so I'll start studying my arse off. I need to revise and learn stuff from physics, chemistry, computing and practice maths. I can do it. And I'm going to think positively and not worry, since worrying never makes anything better.

Today I also revived my old tumblr blog that I made more than a year ago, wayy back in October 2009. That was back when the tumblr fad hadn't started. XD And I got to know about tumblr from web design magazine and thought I'd check it out..and as always made a random account. I already have this blog, so I didn't know exactly what I'd be using my tumblr one for. For a while I thought that I'd make it my photography blog or something, but then I've been thinking about it for a while and I think it's best if I use it for random stuff. Sorta like a mini blog, yeah.

I practically did nothing all day today, but tomorrow shall be more productive, aye. Well I'd best be going to sleep now. It's pretty late. Have some music:
