Arrr, here be a wip. I didn't know what I was going to draw..started doodling randomly in Photoshop and drew a face and though let's make it all inky and black and white and stuff..then slowly this turned out he he. 'Tis a girl and a pigeon. Used some reference for the pigeon. What was supposed to be a super quick doodle is turning into a drawing again..oh well. Thinking of trying to integrate some negative space over here. The hand is bugging me so need to work more on that. Got a bit tired of it just now, so will work on it some more tomorrow. Maybe I'll be able to notice other problems as well. I'm thinking of adding some tones here and there along with some textures. Let's see how it turns out. I'm having fun inking and sorta painting at the same time.
As for me, I ish okay. Been having to wear glasses while using the computer these days or else my eyes burn and my head aches like crazy. And I'm not even long-sighted. Oh well. Still thinking up stuff for my 2D animated short. Me and my laziness..sheesh. Today I was supposed to work on refining the storyboard, but then I kept drawing this..but tomorrow I SHALL work on refining my story board and my shot plan. YOSH! After I finish this picture, I'll not be drawing much for a while. I'll focus on my studies and my short.
I went through my GLAanimation challenge wip thread again today..and it was so inspiring looking at all the comments and stuff. It was one of the best times of my life even though I had a nasty cold throughout, almost got carpal tunnel from having to draw 400+ frames with me mouse, and had exams coming up..it was such an awesome experience. Everyone's support and encouragement fueled me on. It was so much fun participating with everybody. Everyone cheered and pushed each other on. It was amazing. And while it wasn't the best animation ever, it was my first complete short animation. And I did manage to complete the challenge. It's been almost 2 years since then..and I haven't gotten around to animating anything since then. So it just really inspired me to work harder on my short. I hope it turns out nice. Trying to make up for not animating anything in 2 years..sheesh I got pretty rusty.
Today there was an earthquake and lemme tell ya it was something. I was sleeping and suddenly I felt my bed was shaking madly..like the whole thing. I felt like it was a boat that was rocking in the ocean. Seriously, and I just woke up, my mind was trying to register what was happening and then I had to admit to myself it really was an earthquake. My first instict was to run and then thankfully my mum came in just then and she told me to calm down and follow her. Then we stood under one of the beams. Luckily it didn't last that long..but dayum. It was so strange. Last year there was another one that lasted longer and stuff and everyone got downstairs. But this one was short, however I ain't forgetting how it felt when my bed was rocking like some boat in the sea anytime soon. Dang :C Everyone's okay so I'm glad.
Well I gotta sleep now.
