Rainy Lady Wip

Long time no wips XD So here's a picture I started recently.....it's a Rain Spirit....need to work on her character design some more. But it's supposed to be for that graphic novel idea of mine...hope I finish it up soon. As long as I don't get lazeh :I

WIP! And stuff

Kay so it's been a while since I updated properly and stuff...well that's mostly because I ain't got internet at home and I get kinda lazy bout updating from work...but well I thought I'd update with something more substantial than a random piece of writing that popped in my mind one rainy day... XD So here's something I started painting last night....I felt pretty awake last night instead of feeling uber sleepy and tired for a change as I took a nap right after I got home from work..so felt kinda inspired and I started painting something inspired by warm fuzzy feelings you get when you drink something warm during winter time...since it's almost winter here. And I was liking how it was going so I kept at it and this is what I have so far:

It's far from done..about like 30% done I'd say. I made some custom brushes in Photoshop and it's really fun to paint with them. Trying to incorporate some brush textures within this picture...it's being fun to work on so I hope to finish it up soon...dayum why do I fail at drawing hands so baaad...must draw moar hands lol. Oh well. Photoshop CS5 with me intuos4.

River through the mountains

Well this was a bit of an experiment..was trying out a different style of painting environments..inspired by those cool environment concept art with all those sharp shapes and forms and textures integrated within em. Was pretty fun doing this. But I gotta do more of these so I can capture the fleeting images that pop up raindomly in my mind fast enough..like you know capture their essence? The mood and atmosphere and feel of it I guess..well I want to but I finish one painting and then I get distracted lol. Hmm me and my shitty ass laziness..sheesh. Anyway I'll try to paint more stuff..be it quickies. Another problem of doing quickies more these days is that I find I get lazy about spending more time on a painting..I do have some stuff that I want to take my time with painting..but I tend to get too impatient over them. But I'll just keep at it anyway heh.

These are some quickie doodles I did. Dates are on the pictures...they're pretty random..and took from around 20minutes to an hour each..so yeahh. But they were pretty fun to do XD Done in Photoshop with me intuos4 and textures from cgtextures .

Rainy day girl WIP

Yeah yeah another girl in a rainy day..I sure like rainy days a lot eh.Well I WAS born in the rainy season..on a really rainy day so maybe that's why lol. XD Anyway I drew this maybe 2 weeks ago..yeah it was raining that day so I felt like doing a quick drawing...but then for some reason I decided to complete it and so this is how it's going. I'm trying a out a slightly different lineless style here, the sketch is visible since I need to use it as a guide. But all those effin layers..damn I'm too lazy to use that many. I keep wanting to merge em all and paint over. Getting hard to stop myself from doing that *facepalm* At any rate since I got exams, ain't getting to work on it much. Opened it up last night after ages and added more colours and started shading. Dunno when it'll be finished though. Oh well.

Here's how it looks without the lines (still haven't finished adding all the flat colours though):

Kinda funky painting like this, though I got so used to painting on a few layers that switching from one layer to another is becoming a bit annoying XD Oh well.
